European Parliament, Exhibition Space
The exhibition first opened in Brussels, on the 22nd of March. Hosted in the exhibition space of the European Parliament (EP), it was launched by Lorenzo Colantoni and by the President of the ENVI Commission Antonio Decaro, Pierre Potin, Head of the Copernicus Programme for ESA, and Elizabeth Hamdouch, Deputy Head of Unit for Copernicus
for the European Commission. The exhibition lasted for a week and included a visit to the display by university students from Italy and Ukraine.
The display featured 42 images and informative panels, a very large sized cover (2.5x2.5m) as well as multimedia content including interviews with protagonists of the project and ambient sound collected on the ground – such as the words of the last, former whaler of the Azores, and the sounds of whales in the archipelago.
The launch of the exhibition was also featured in an article on Corriere della Sera.
Launch event: 8 of April at the European Parliament, with Pierre Potin (ESA), Antonio Decaro (EP), Elizabeth Hamdouch (EC).
Installation details: 42 fine art photographic prints 50x70 cm, 2 two meters tall informative totems, 1 237x237cm cover.
